The organization in the month of March 2021, participated in the launch of Biashara Centres in Eldoret, Mombasa and Kisumu. The centres are a one-stop shop to serve the SME sector as part of government efforts to improve ease of doing business in Kenya and catalyse economic growth.
In Eldoret, Chief Administrative Secretary for Industrialization, Mr. Lawrence Karanja presided over the opening at KEBS regional office, PS. Kirimi Kaberia presided over the opening of Mombasa Biashara Centre at KEBS coast regional offices and CS Betty Maina officially opened the Kisumu one at Kenya Industrial Research Development Institute (KIRDI) offices. KIE showcased its products and sensitised the public about its mandate and contribution to the industrialisation agenda.
