  • Who is eligible for funding?

    Small and Medium Enterprise owners (an individual, a registered group, a limited public company) operating in the Value – addition sector (manufacturing) or service industries with a direct contribution to manufacturing.

  • What are the minimum/ maximum amounts of loan that one can apply for?

    For SMEs – For SMEs – Loan sizes range from Ksh. 100,000 to Ksh. 20 Million payable over a duration of 84 months maximum.
    For Micro – Loans (Youths and women groups, JuaKali Operators): Presently, the loan-size obtainable under this scheme is minimum Ksh. 10,000/= and a maximum Ksh. 500,000/=

    • Who is eligible to apply for a shed/working space?

      Small and Medium Enterprise owners (an individual, a registered group, a limited public company) operating in the Value–addition sector (manufacturing) or service industries with a direct contribution to manufacturing.

    • What are the minimum/maximum sizes of sheds/working spaces one can apply for?

      For SMEs – Shed/working space sizes and rental rates vary by Industrial Park/Estate, with allocations made based on the scale of the enterprise’s production needs, payable on a monthly tenancy basis as determined by the respective branch.
      For Micro-enterprises (Youths and women groups, Jua Kali Operators): Smaller shared working spaces and stalls are allocated within designated Jua Kali sheds/sections at applicable subsidized rates set by the local KIE branch.
