KIE MD, RWANDA TRADE PS VISIT KENYAN PAVILION AT EAC MSMEs TRADE FAIR

Kenya Industrial Estates (KIE) Managing Director, Mr. Nelson M. Kwamini accompanied by the Permanent Secretary for Trade and Industry (MINICOM) in Rwanda Ms. Chantal Tuyishimire visited the Kenyan Pavilion at the ongoing 26th East African Community (EAC) MSMEs Trade Fair in Kigali, Rwanda.

The visit provided an opportunity to appreciate the range of Kenyan products, innovations and enterprise solutions showcased at the regional exhibition, as well as the growing presence of Kenyan MSMEs in the East African market.

The MD subsequently visited several KIE-affiliated Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) participating in the exhibition, engaging directly with the entrepreneurs and assessing their exhibition experience, market prospects and business development needs.

Among the KIE-affiliated enterprises showcasing their products and services at the trade fair are Ecogreen Kenya of Busia, Sesia, LineArt ltd- manufacturers of Black Essentials Products and Chillzone Logistics Limited among other Kenyan enterprises.

The participation of these enterprises reflects the expanding market opportunities available to Kenyan MSMEs through KIE’s enterprise development interventions and collaboration with other stakeholders.

Beyond providing business financing and advisory services, KIE continues to facilitate market access, promote business linkages and support enterprises in exploring opportunities beyond national borders.

The engagement also reaffirmed KIE’s commitment to supporting MSMEs throughout their growth journey by connecting them to regional and international markets, enhancing their competitiveness and strengthening their capacity to participate in cross-border trade.

Also present at the trade fair are KIE Board Directors Hon. Yere Nyencho and Hon. Albert Memusi alongside Rev. Peter Rotich, Manager Operations and Ms. Charity Ndeke, Manager, Legal Services/Company Secretary among other KIE officials.

Through its participation in the 26th EAC MSMEs Trade Fair, KIE continues to advance enterprise growth, market diversification and regional economic integration, positioning Kenyan MSMEs to compete and thrive in an increasingly interconnected business environment.
