World SME Day, an annual celebration on June 27th, highlights the invaluable role of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in sustainable development and the global economy. In 2023, this significant event convened at Kitengela, bringing together MSMEs, policymakers, investors, and stakeholders to discuss sector challenges and opportunities.
Kenya Industrial Estates (KIE) actively participated in this event, showcasing its unwavering commitment to supporting MSMEs. Through dynamic participation, KIE aimed to achieve three key objectives:
- Enhancing Brand Visibility: KIE sought to elevate its recognition among the MSME community and key industry players.
- Engaging with MSMEs: Direct interactions with MSMEs allowed KIE to understand their unique needs and offer tailored support.
- Contributing to Sector Growth: KIE’s active involvement contributed to meaningful discussions and networking, advancing Kenya’s MSME sector.
Our participation was vividly captured in photos and media appearances, showcasing our dynamic presence at the event. These efforts resulted in increased brand recognition and valuable connections within the MSME community and industry stakeholders.
In addition, KIE’s participation in World SME Day was highlighted in the July 2nd, 2023, edition of the Standard newspaper, further amplifying our brand visibility.
