Kenya Industrial Estates (KIE) recorded a strong showing at the 2026 Nairobi International Trade Fair (NITF) combining a compelling exhibition of enterprise development with recognition across four competitive exhibition categories.
The achievement came as KIE continued to showcase its mandate, programmes and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) it supports drawing engagement from members of the public, exhibitors and senior management throughout the trade fair.
KIE Managing Director, Mr. Nelson M. Kwamini, visited the KIE stand and interacted with staff, participating MSMEs and exhibitors, taking stock of the institution’s participation and the various products and innovations on display.
The engagement provided an opportunity for the management team to appreciate first-hand the enterprises supported through KIE’s programmes while reinforcing the institution’s commitment to enterprise development, industrialization and the growth of sustainable businesses.
The highlight of KIE’s participation was its outstanding performance in the exhibition competitions where the institution secured four awards across different categories.
KIE emerged:
1st Position – Best Financial Institution Stand Other Than a Bank (Agricultural)
2nd Position – Stand That Best Interprets the Current Show Theme – Non-Agro-Based
3rd Position – Best Small Trade Stand (Commercial and Industrial)
3rd Position – Best Micro-Financial Institution Stand
The four awards provided strong recognition of KIE’s exhibition, branding and enterprise development efforts while highlighting the diversity of its mandate and the impact of its engagement with MSMEs across the country.
Mr. Kwamini later officially received the four trophies at the KIE stand accompanied by Hon. Albert Memusi, KIE Director, marking a significant moment in the institution’s participation at this year’s trade fair.
The awards come as KIE continues to position itself as a key enabler of enterprise development and industrialisation by providing support, financing, incubation and other interventions aimed at strengthening Kenyan businesses.
Through its participation at the Nairobi International Trade Fair, KIE not only showcased its institutional mandate but also provided a platform for the enterprises it supports to exhibit their products, innovations and commercial potential to a wider audience.
The 2026 NITF therefore offered KIE an important opportunity to connect with the public, engage with MSMEs and industry stakeholders, and demonstrate the contribution of enterprise development to Kenya’s broader industrial and economic transformation agenda.
